Support our Urban Campesinx

Acknowledging Hummingbird Farm is a healing sacred space on occupied land, we give thanks to the Ramaytush Ohlone of this land as original stewards. We honor the spirits of those that died at the hands of colonization by the state and church.

Hummingbird Farm is a food justice and leadership program brought to you by PODER! Led by Urban Campesinx's, this farm is a space where everyone that reflects the deep diversity of our neighborhoods comes together to organize for the environmental, economic, and health justice in the Southeast neighborhoods of San Francisco. Reflecting the lessons, wisdom, and seeds of our ancestors, we organize to create healthy and vibrant communities, growing food and plant medicine.

At Hummingbird Farm, we don't just grow food and plant medicine, we leverage the power of urban agriculture to tackle social injustices head-on. We dive deep into the rich traditions and experiences of immigrant families in the Excelsior district, channeling their knowledge and wisdom to create a healthy and vibrant community.

Hummingbird Farm is not just about farming—it's a revolutionary space where solidarity-based economic models and collective governance of land take center stage. Hummingbird Farm serves as a vital hub for the community, embodying the spirit of environmental justice. It provides a welcoming space for collective gatherings, fostering connections among community members. Hummingbird Farm hosts educational workshops and programs that build resiliency in the face of climate chaos, promote and deepen community access and relationship to land, and grow food and plant medicine to center our communities healing and well-being.

For this work to continue and grow, we need your support! Your donation allows us to continue to host regular cohorts of farm stewards and nurture urban farming leaders in San Francisco. Our farm stewards work every day to reclaim public land AND learn how to steward that land in a way that centers healing. Your support will ensure we continue to offer this opportunity for years to come.
